Field Day, No Lower School Extended Care

All grades will participate at the lower school on the same day. Parents are encouraged to come to cheer on their students, whether for the whole event or for a portion of the day.

Games will be held on the lower school fields, so pack water, sunscreen and hat and bring something to sit on.

8:40 a.m. Opening Ceremony (starting with a parade)

Bag lunches are provided for lower school students. If families would like to join their students for lunch, please plan to bring a lunch. We do ask that no outside food be brought for students on this day, such as Chick-fil-A, McDonalds, or other take-out options.

Parking will be available in designated areas on campus and at Lakewood Park. A security guard will be stationed at the gate to Lakewood for safe and easy access to campus.

There will be NO extended care on Friday, May 15. This is a long and exhausting day for students; they will welcome a shorter stay.

Please contact Coach Osby with any questions.

    Lower School Recognition Ceremony

Fourth and fifth graders will travel to the Hackney Theater at the middle and upper school campus at 1 p.m. for an end-of-the-year recognition ceremony.

While most awards will be presented to fifth graders, this is a great moment for fourth graders to hear about some of the opportunities available to them in the next year. This ceremony will conclude with a touching tradition to honor our fifth graders and a welcome message from Chris Tillson, the head of middle school.

Students should plan to wear nicer dress for this occasion. Families are welcome to pick students up from the ceremony, but a bus will also return to school for regular dismissal that afternoon.

Norfolk Collegiate will not host extended care for lower or middle school and the Stanton Library will not offer supervised hours for our upper school students on this day. The school will close to all students following the last bell.
