Student Services

Students in Kindergarten through Grade 5 can enrich their experience at our lower school through enrichment activities. These activities provide students additional, after school programs to challenge them through mentally or physically engaging activities.
Other opportunities also include special interest activities and sports, which are available at the end of the school day for students participating in the programs.

Activities vary by season and demand and include, but are not limited to:

  • Chinese Language & Culture
  • Comic Creations
  • Chess
  • Girls on the Run
  • Mindful Fitness
  • Music & Movement
  • Ballet
  • Soccer Shots
  • Karate
  • Strings
  • Piano

Operation Smile Final Mile
In the spring, students in Grades 1-5 have the opportunity to participate in the Operation Smile Final Mile. For our students in pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten, we encourage them to participate in the Leprechaun Dash (a one-mile event).

Students run a marathon during school and after school one mile at a time. The culminating event is the race during the Shamrock Marathon weekend.

Acorn Athletic Clinics

Our athletics department also offers Acorn Athletic Clinics throughout the year. The week-long clinics are led by varsity coaches and student-athletes and teach the fundamentals of the sport as well as sportsmanship to our younger students.

Those clinics include:
  • Basketball
  • Cheerleading
  • Lacrosse
  • Soccer
  • Volleyball

Due to COVID-19, Norfolk Collegiate's enrichment activities may be suspended for the 2020-21 school year. We are working to re-imagine the programs with the safety of our students and faculty and staff in mind.

Students participating in enrichment programs need to have the following forms completed and on file with the lower school office.
  • Enrichment Registration Form
  • Emergency Contact Form
