• Allison Haskell McDonald ’02 

  Allison Haskell McDonald ’02 is a lifelong Norfolk resident and a proud lifelong Oak. Her connection to Norfolk Collegiate began in kindergarten, and she has remained an active and enthusiastic member of the Collegiate community ever since.
  
  

  After graduating from Norfolk Collegiate, Allison attended James Madison University before returning home to join her family’s business, where she met her husband, Brian. Today, Allison and Brian are proud Collegiate parents to Jackson ’33 and Caroline ’35.
  
  

  As president of the Norfolk Collegiate Alumni Association, Allison is passionate about strengthening the connection between alumni and the school they call home. She and her family are enthusiastic supporters of the Oaks, and you can often find Allison cheering from the stands at a basketball game, helping with a class party or hosting a Collegiate event at Guads!

• Ryan Murray Cobb ’08

  Ryan Murray Cobb ’08 is a Norfolk native and a proud 13-year graduate of Norfolk Collegiate. Among her most cherished takeaways from her time at Collegiate are the support of its close-knit community, the lifelong friendships she formed and the many opportunities that helped shape her path.
  
  

  After graduating from James Madison University with a degree in business, Ryan moved to Nashville, where she gained valuable professional experience and embraced new opportunities. After traveling throughout Europe for two months, she returned home to Norfolk and joined Davenport & Company LLC, where she has now spent more than a decade. Ryan is a fully licensed financial advisor and holds the Certified Financial Planner™ certification.
  
  

  Ryan met her husband in 2014, and they married in 2017. Together, they have two children, one of whom is a Norfolk Collegiate student. Ryan and her family are excited to be part of the Oak community once again.
  
  

  Outside of work and Collegiate, Ryan enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing with her dog, traveling and just about anything sports-related. She is excited to give back to the school that played such an important role in her life and to continue strengthening the Oak family.

• John Garris ’06

  John Garris is a senior associate in the Norfolk office of Cerity Partners, where he advises clients on asset allocation, portfolio management, investment analysis and selection, and financial planning. Prior to joining Cerity Partners, John served as a portfolio manager and equity research analyst for a family investment office.
  
  

  John is actively involved in the Norfolk community and currently serves on the boards of River’s Way Inc., The Hermitage Museum and Gardens Collective and the Norfolk Employees’ Retirement System. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Hampden-Sydney College and a Master of Business Administration from William & Mary.
  
  

  John is proud to serve the Norfolk Collegiate Alumni Association and looks forward to helping strengthen connections among alumni and support the continued growth of the Oak community.

• Sam Hitch ’12 

  Sam Hitch '12 works in real estate development and investment for EDENS in Washington, D.C. Prior to joining EDENS, he worked in real estate and telecommunications private equity and development in New York and Virginia.
  
  

  Sam earned a Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Science from the University of Virginia and a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from Columbia University. He is excited to serve on the Norfolk Collegiate Alumni Association Board and to help strengthen connections among the Oak community.

• Tyler Trapani ’09 

  Tyler Trapani ’09 is a proud Norfolk Collegiate alumnus who works alongside his brother and father at the family business, Tycon Medical, where they provide custom wheelchairs and other mobility equipment.
  
  

  Tyler is a proud father to his daughter, Rebecca, and he and his wife, Christie, are excited to welcome their second daughter to the family. Outside of work and family life, Tyler enjoys playing golf, cooking and traveling.
  
  

  As a member of the Norfolk Collegiate Alumni Association Board, Tyler is excited to give back to the school that played an important role in his life and to stay connected to the Oak community.
