Athletic Renovation Project

Support Our Athletic Renovation Project!

As part of our school's strategic plan to build a better Collegiate, we are excited to announce a two-phase renovation project aimed at transforming our athletic facilities, enhancing the student-athlete experience, and strengthening our community. This initiative aligns with our broader commitment to investing in institutional priorities, including:
  • Athletic Renovation Project
  • Lower School playground and outdoor classroom
  • Harris Courtyard enhancement
  • Stanton Library renovation
  • Administration suite renovation

Phase 1: Modernizing Our Gymnasium For the Next Generation

The summer of 2025 will see the original floor and wooden bleachers removed in the Watt-Baker Gymnasium and a new generation of flooring and bleachers ushered in. The Treehouse will remain for our Oaks!

What's New...

  • Upper School Gym Floor: A high-quality playing surface that prioritizes safety and performance.
  • Branded Bleachers: Replacing outdated wooden bleachers with modern, branded seating that reflects our school pride and accommodates more spectators.
  • New Lighting & Sound System
  • Replaced Roof

Phase 1 Is Underway! Phase 2 Coming Soon!

We’re thrilled to announce that Phase I of our $2.8 million Athletic Renovation Project has begun—marking the start of an exciting new era for our athletic facilities!

Update as of Aug 31, 2025:
Thanks to the generosity of our community, the Upper School Gym has been completely revitalized and will be opening soon. Earlier this month, the installation of brand-new flooring was completed, giving the space a fresh foundation for our Oaks! The gym also received a bright new coat of paint, and the old wooden bleachers were replaced with sleek new seating proudly showcasing bold “OAKS” lettering.

To top it all off, state-of-the-art electronic scoreboards now light up the gym, bringing even more energy to every game, practice and event.

This transformation would not have been possible without our incredible supporters—thank you for helping us create a space where our student-athletes and fans can truly shine!

Update as of May 21, 2025:

Earlier this month, the lights and sound system were installed.  Moisture testing under the floor is underway. The upper school gymnasium will be closed throughout the summer to continue working on this exciting project!

Farewell to the Floors!
On Thursday, May 29, we hosted a Farewell to the Floors event for the Collegiate community. The event allowed alumni, faculty, students and family members to say goodbye to the gym floors that have supported countless games, memories and milestones during a community open house with family-friendly games.
