Strength and Conditioning Returns June 8-July 30

As we approach the summer season, we are implementing an updated Strength and Conditioning schedule for middle school and high school athletic programs. These changes are designed to better support athlete development, improve performance and reduce the risk of injury across all sports. We strongly encourage as much participation as possible and there will be a sign in sheet where we will track attendance.

Summer Expectations
All athletes are strongly encouraged to consistently attend their designated sessions and sign-in to track their sessions. Multi-sport athletes should communicate with coaches to coordinate schedules appropriately.

Below is the summer strength & conditioning schedule, which will run from June 8-July 30:

Why Strength & Conditioning Matters
A structured strength and conditioning program is essential for student-athletes at both the middle and high school levels. Consistent training:
  • Builds foundational strength, speed and endurance
  • Enhances athletic performance in-season
  • Reduces the likelihood of injury through proper movement patterns and muscle balance
  • Develops discipline, accountability and mental toughness
  • Prepares athletes for the increasing physical demands of competitive sports
Running-based conditioning improves cardiovascular fitness, stamina and recovery, while weight training develops power, stability and injury resilience. Together, they create well-rounded, durable athletes.
