"The Anxious Generation" Parent Book Discussion
Counselors Pannill Titus and Helen Younce will lead a guided parent book discussion of "The Anxious Generation" by Jonathan Haidt in the Spainhour Family Library at the lower school on Thursday, Jan. 29 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. This book served as our shared faculty and staff read over the summer and continues to inform much of the work we’ve undertaken as a school this year.

- Key themes from the book, including the impacts of technology use on children and adolescents
- The importance of independence and free play in healthy development
- Ways families can foster resilience, balance and connection in today’s fast-paced world
- Opportunities for parents to share experiences and practical strategies
- A supportive space to connect with other members of the Oak community
