Sundae Fun Day

Sunday, Jan. 29, from 1-3 p.m.

Roll up your sleeves and dive in to an afternoon of fun, as Norfolk Collegiate’s annual Sundae Fun Day is back!

All students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade, their families and anyone interested in attending Norfolk Collegiate are invited to join us for this special day when our students will show off their labors. The event, which began several years ago, is a chance for our lower school students and their families to come together and enjoy the efforts of their labors. Beginning in October, the students create and mold their own bowls. They then design and glaze the bowls, which are fired in the kiln located at the school.

What better way to enjoy the fruits of one's labor than ice cream?! Following the exhibit of bowls, students and their families are encouraged to enjoy an ice cream sundae, as well as the events below.

All participants are welcome to enjoy:

  • An ice cream sundae (cost is $6 per person)
  • Face painting
  • Rainbow Loom Station
  • Model Magic Station
  • Photo Booth

Tickets cost $6 per person and may be purchased in advance by completing the online order form below or by submitting a check (payable to Norfolk Collegiate School) or cash to Michelle Kellam in the lower school office. Online ticket sales will end on Friday, Jan. 20. Tickets will also be available at the door.

Pre-ordered tickets will be available at the door the day of the event.

Volunteers needed

The event wouldn’t be such a success without the help of our parent volunteers. Whether it’s scooping ice cream or helping supervise a craft table, all volunteers are welcome to assist. Parents who would like to sign-up for a time slot or for more information, please contact Alison Carlsmith at
