Soprano Megan Pachecano Visits Norfolk Collegiate

Mr. Holman’s chorus classes were privy to a special performance by local, professional singer, Megan Pachecano as she sang, “O mio babbino caro” by Giacomo Puccini in the opera Gianni Schicchi.

Pachecano is a classically-trained soprano opera singer, concert soloist, musical theatre performer and recording artist from San Antonio, TX. She sings across the country in a multitude of roles from Cinderella in a production of “Into the Woods” by Stephen Sondheim and chorus positions in shows by the Metropolitan Opera in New York City.

After her in-class performance, Pachecano hosted an engaging Q&A where several students asked about her vocal range, how she prepares for a performance and the importance of proper breathing.

She’s offering weekly singing lessons to Norfolk Collegiate students on campus after school by appointment. To schedule a lesson, please email Mr. Holman at mholman@norfolkcollegiate.org.
