Amy Robb recently earned her Certified Journalism Educator designation. Robb teaches upper school English and journalism and is the English department chair at Norfolk Collegiate. Robb attended the Journalism Education Association's Adviser's Institute in Las Vegas where she sat and passed the exam on her first attempt.

The designation demonstrates Robb’s knowledge of the basics in journalism and media advising as well as the legal and ethical considerations as an educator in a school journalism setting.

The Journalism Education Association supports free and responsible scholastic journalism by providing resources and educational opportunities, promoting professionalism, encouraging and rewarding student excellence and teacher achievement and fostering an atmosphere which encompasses diversity yet builds unity.
