Norfolk Collegiate's National Honors Society Inducts 36 New Members

Norfolk Collegiate’s Heath Chapter of the National Honor Society, NHS, inducted 36 new members into the chapter on Friday, April 20, 2018. NHS is a national organization that recognizes outstanding 10th, 11th and 12th-grade students who meet academic and service requirements.

However, membership is more than academic. Students also must demonstrate the attributes of leadership, good character and citizenship as well as a desire to render service and provide worthy leadership. To be eligible, students have to have already completed 10 hours of community service and must complete additional community service hours before the end of the school year.

At Collegiate, community service activities and volunteerism are of great value, and students are encouraged to participate in activities that benefit others.
