Junior Jordan Battle '20 Breaks Records with 1500 Points on the Court

On Tuesday, Jan. 8, Jordan scored his 1500th point since the beginning of his basketball career at Norfolk Collegiate. The team was playing Cape Henry, and a timeout was called while both sides of the court cheered for Jordan and his accomplishment.

Jordan was celebrated on his home court two days later at a varsity game against Hampton Roads Academy.

Jordan says it took "hard work, patience and trust in the process" to accomplish his 1500th point. "I wouldn't have been able to do it without my team," he said. "They always pick me up when I'm down."

To top it off, Jordan also hit his 500th point of the season during the Cape Henry game. According to the most recent Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools report, he also is the top scorer in the league (racking up an average of 29 points per game).
