Norfolk Collegiate Campuses Closed

On Friday, March 13, Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam closed all K-12 schools for a minimum of two weeks. Norfolk Collegiate has closed all school operations as of 6 p.m. March 13 through March 27. We will reassess on March 27 to determine school operations in consultation with the appropriate government and health officials.

Students were instructed to take all educational materials home and more detailed information will be forthcoming to current families about the transition to digital learning scheduled to begin on March 19. To prepare for digital learning and to gather any remaining materials, the buildings will open for students on Saturday, March 14, and Monday, March 16, from 10 a.m. to noon. Staff will be at the front desks of the main entrances to assist students and monitor access to the buildings.

The campus is closed and all activities are canceled until March 30, 2020. Employees will be working from home, and the Business Office and Advancement Office will hold virtual office hours from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily. During those hours, staff will be responding to internal and external inquiries and will be available by phone by appointment only.

All teaching faculty will have office hours, listed below, with dedicated time to engage with members of the community.

  • Lower School Virtual Office Hours: 9-10:30 a.m.
  • Middle School Virtual Office Hours: 10:30 a.m.-noon
  • Upper School Virtual Office Hours: 1:30-3 p.m.

Families will receive more detailed information about digital learning and impact on future school events early this week.
