A book chat that will impact your life

Think of a place where you can chat about a book that impacts the growth of your child’s life. Norfolk Collegiate has just the space for you on Thursday, Oct. 27 and Nov. 17.

Our fall book chats gathers parents, grandparents and friends to discuss the book Unselfie: Why Empathetic Kids Succeed in Our All-About-Me World by Michelle Boarba, Ed.D.

Jan Waintraub, lower school guidance counselor and chat facilitator, believes this is one of the best books of our chat series and is honored to have great parents attend the series to learn such as seventh-grade parent Debbie Baynor.

“I love that the chats are informal,” said Baynor. “Jan does a nice job at making it a safe space for parents to discuss the book and get feedback from the group. I always walk away having new knowledge that helps me to better understand my child and how children process different things.”

Come see what all the buzz is about on Thursday, Oct. 27 and Nov. 17 at 8:30 a.m. in the Lower School Admissions Suite or at 7 p.m. in the King Boardroom on our middle and upper school campus.

If you have a friend or family member who would like to join the conversation, please bring him or her with you to the chat.
