Hailey '26 hosts drive for Tidewater Friends of Foster Care
Hailey G. ’26 is on a mission…to collect items for the Tidewater Friends of Foster Care through a drive. Thanks to the generosity of Collegiate middle school families and her neighborhood, she is well on her way to completing it!
The seventh grader is collecting items for the charity which works to provide positive support to children in foster care so they can successfully transition to adulthood.
“I decided to do this drive for kids because they need things and it will help them out,” said Hailey. They “did not deserve to be in the situation that they are in so if this helps them, that’s great.”
Hailey was hoping to collect at least one box of items and is delighted at the response she has received. “I have now collected a bunch from the school, the neighborhood and friends,” she said.
She hopes to design an even bigger project with the charity so she can also earn her Silver Award through the Girl Scouts.
