MEET our Athletic Trainer, Alyssa Fisher

In cooperation with a partnership with Sentara, Alyssa Fisher joined Norfolk Collegiate as interim athletic trainer in 2017.

Fisher earned her Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training from the University of Pittsburgh and her Master of Science degree in education with a concentration in athletic training from Old Dominion University (ODU). She earned her second master’s degree in public health with a concentration in healthcare management and policy from Eastern Virginia Medical School.

Her practice revolves around patient-centered care and evidence-based medicine to provide the best outcomes to allow her patients to participate in the activities they love safely and effectively. Fisher is dedicated to helping others be their best selves at home, school and in their community. She is committed to improving health every day and will ensure our student-athletes have quick and efficient access to the best healthcare providers in Hampton Roads.

In her free time, Alyssa enjoys riding her off-track thoroughbred, Aslan, cheering for the Pittsburgh Panthers, Steelers, Pirates and Penguins, and spending time with her family.
