Dee Maddox Reaches 1000 points
 The milestone basket was typical for senior Dee Maddox. She beat her defender off the dribble, slithered smoothly into the lane, and launched a soft, short jumper that hit nothing but net.
The bucket early in the first quarter of Tuesday’s game against Norview High School at home put Maddox over 1,000 points in her storied Norfolk Collegiate career with the majority of her final campaign still ahead. She finished with 20 points despite an ankle injury in a 60-51 loss.
