On Sunday morning, November 13th, a group of NCS students gathered to cheer on the participants of the Wounded Warrior Half Marathon (13.1 miles). Runners included our very own Gary Bonnewell (Chairman of the Board of Trustees), Sam Hitch (Class of 2012), and Michael Davis (two-time alumni parent and faculty spouse). Part of the mission of the Wounded Warrior’s Project is to “Raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of injured service members.”
Our students came out to support the cause and cheer on the runners with high-fives and words of encouragement. Madison Parker and Bess Renn joined one serviceman who was walking the course to express their appreciation of his sacrifice. The NCS community is grateful to America’s service veterans and those men and women in uniform today.
