Of the 35 articles featured in this week’s American Society of News Editors National High School Edition, 5 first appeared in last week’s Oak Leaf online edition. Two of our Journalism III students—Jewell Porter and Mark Jamias—had stories picked up, as did Journalism II students Laura McCarthy and Alexis White. In addition, one of our freshman Journalism I students, Ashanti Brown, had a comment posted to her review of the book, Crusade, by the book’s author, Nancy Holder. Aisli McFarland’s opinion column on student stress also received a comment from a film maker investigating the topic.
