The Holocaust Commission of the United Jewish Federation of Tidewater hosts an annual competition for middle and high school students in the areas of writing and visual arts. According to their website: "The competitions guide students in their exploration of moral courage, the dangers of prejudice, peer pressure, unthinking obedience to authority, and indifference."
This year, five NCS students received the Judges Choice Awards: Connor Owens, Ellen Bouchard, Tabor Parker, Anya Kaszubowski and Ari Gershon. Congratulations!
The works from this year's competition will be on display at the Chrysler Museum of Art, 245 West Olney Road, Norfolk, for one month beginning on Sunday, May 15th.
