Faith Rush is the 2010-11 NCS Middle School Spelling Bee winner for the second year in a row.  Faith, a seventh grader, correctly spelled “thespian” in the 14th round to emerge as victor.  Nicholas Sarris, also in seventh grade, finished in second place. 

 

Faith will now continue on to the regional contest airing Saturday, February 12th on WHRO.  The regional contest is sponsored by The Virginian-Pilot and the winner continues on to the national bee sponsored by Scripps.
