Imagine a beautifully designed center for the arts with elegant lobbies, spacious galleries, and sparkling glass right on the Norfolk Collegiate School campus. Picture a place where a budding journalist will discover how a newspaper is produced, and a young actor will practice hitting his marks.
Can a center for the arts like this truly affect student performance? Absolutely. Once completed, our center and its 425-seat theater will become an unforgettable showcase for student productions, as well as a regional venue for the best of the performing arts.
An on-site art gallery will give our young artists a professional space to display their own works and to view the nationally recognized works of others. Classrooms, workshops, and practice studios will give our students new opportunities to discover who they are – and who they can be – through music, dance, drama, and the fine arts. And they’ll be exposed to the full range of the communication arts as well, from journalism and photography to graphic arts and videography.
A center of this caliber will bring Norfolk Collegiate School’s program to a new level, one that elevates everyone, including the community itself.
