Recognizing the wide range of intellectual, physical, emotional and social differences of early adolescent students, the Norfolk Collegiate Middle School provides an effectively personalized education for each of our students. We encourage involvement among parents, students and faculty members to develop instructional and interpersonal approaches that address the needs of students growing from children to young adults.
Our goal is to create a learning environment with a rigorous curriculum that challenges students, encourages them to think critically and provides a chance for the exploration of new ideas. Middle school should be a time for trying new options. The athletic department offers a full program for students. Choice time during the daily activity bell allows students to investigate new hobbies and outside interests including wonderful volunteer opportunities to develop the citizen-scholar.
