Thank you for your considering Norfolk Collegiate School. The optimal timeframe for submitting applications is between September and early February, although we accept applications year-round.
Admission procedures are as follows:Download the application form as an Adobe PDF. Completed applications should be printed and mailed to the admissions office, along with the non-refundable application fee ($65 for K-5th or $75 for 6-12th), one fee per student. Prompt submission is urged.
Complete the record release form, which allows us to request school records and recommendations from your child’s current school. Receipt of such records and recommendations is required before an admission decision may be made.
Schedule a tour of Norfolk Collegiate School, if you have not yet done so, by contacting our office.
Schedule admissions testing:
- Kindergarten applicants take the Kindergarten Inventory of Developmental Skills (KIDS).
- Grade 1 applicants’ take the Stanford Early School Achievement Test SESAT.
- Grades 2-5 applicants take sections of the Stanford 10 test.
- Grades 6 – 12 applicants take sections of the Educational Records Bureau test (ERB).
- Please let us know if you plan to apply to more than one school. We have the ability to share test scores with certain schools.
Contact the admissions office to schedule interviews for applicants and parents with the Director of Enrollment.
Applicants to the middle and upper school also should contact the school to schedule a visitation day. These events are hosted by curent Norfolk Collegiate School students.
Admission decisions are made without regard to race, creed, or color. Qualified candidates may be accepted at all grade levels where vacancies occur.
