Sixth Grade Required Courses
The core curriculum consists of English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Health/P.E. In addition, every sixth grade student takes:
- Art 6 - one quarter
- Computers 6 – one quarter
- Exploratory Latin – two quarters
Sixth Grade Elective Courses
Students can select Middle School Band 6, Middle School Chorus/Drama 6, Middle School Band/String Ensemble 6, or Middle School Chorus/String Ensemble 6 for a full year.
OR
Students can enroll in each of the following courses in a 9-week rotation:
- Public Speaking
- Civics
- Creative Problem Solving
- Personal Development
Seventh Grade Required Courses
In addition to the core curriculum (English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Health/P.E.), Seventh Grade students take the following courses in a rotation:
· Exploratory Spanish– one quarter
· Exploratory French – one quarter
· Exploratory Chinese – one quarter
· Computers 7 – one quarter
Seventh Grade Elective Courses
Students can select Middle School Band 7, Middle School Chorus/Drama 7, Middle School Band/String Ensemble 7, or Middle School Chorus/String Ensemble 7 for a full year.
OR
Students can enroll in each of the following courses in a 9-week rotation:
- Art 7
- Personal Development 7
- Ecology
- Current Events
Eighth Grade Required Courses
In addition to the core curriculum (English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Health/P.E., and a Foreign Language), every eighth grade student can select:
Middle School Band 8, Middle School Chorus/Drama 8, Middle School Chorus/String Ensemble 8, Middle School Band/String Ensemble 8 for a full year.
OR
Students can enroll in each of the following courses in a 9-week rotation:
· Art 8
· Personal Development 8
· Forensic Science
